Dr Chen graduated with the M.R.C.S (England) and L.R.C.P (London) degrees from Great Britain, after which he returned to Singapore to do his housemanship, followed by National Service in the Singapore Armed Forces. He then joined the Kandang Kerbau Hospital for his medical traineeship in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. In 1976, he received his Master's degree (M.Med O&G) from the University of Singapore. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore. He left for private practice after working in the government service for over 10 years.
Besides his busy medical practice, Dr Chen is the Chief Commissioner of the St John Ambulance Brigade in Singapore, and is also licensed to perform the solemnization of marriages. |
